Before you make a trip to Bentham, why not cast your eyes over the information below so you know what you do or don’t need to bring with you. Here are some simple guidelines to help make your visit even more enjoyable:
What can we wear…
We consider ourselves fairly relaxed here in Bentham (something to do with all the fresh air!) but we do still insist that if you have come to play golf, please dress for golf.
What does this mean you ask? Well, don’t turn up looking like you’re ready for a simulated replay of Liverpool Vs Arsenal. Please wear a smart, collared top (long or short sleeved) or roll neck. We ask that trousers or shorts are tailored; jeans and sportswear are not acceptable i.e. jogging bottoms.
A little bit of etiquette…
Whilst we don’t want to be dictators, we do ask that all golfers respect the unwritten laws of golf. It will improve your enjoyment and also that of those playing around you. Please remember to:
- Keep up with the game in front at all times.
- Don’t stand close to or directly behind the ball, move or talk when a player is taking a shot.
- Pitch marks on greens should be repaired immediately.
- Divots on the course must be replaced immediately and firmly pressed down with the foot. On the tee, please use the sand provided in the sand boxes on the tee bed to cover the divot mark.
- Players who have holed out should not try their putts over again, or mark their cards by the green thus delaying play for the players behind them.
What can you borrow? (for a fee… we are in Yorkshire you know!!)
We have 8 buggies available for hire as well as 2 electric trolleys and 8 push/pull trolleys. We also have a selection of clubs available to hire, including a left handed set. For more information about the cost of hiring any of these, please visit our ‘Equipment Hire’ page.
If you have your own buggy then please feel free to bring it with you. We only remind you that you are responsible for your equipment and ask you to carry a valid insurance certificate with you at all times when you’re on the course.
Food & Drink
Food is served daily throughout the summer months in our onsite eatery, 1922 Bar & Kitchen. We operate 2 menus, ‘A quick bite’ or ‘Time to Dine’, which allows us to cater for all appetites.
Serving times do vary in the winter months so please either ring ahead to check in the Pro Shop before you go out to play if you are planning on eating after your round during the quieter periods.
Our clubhouse is fully accessible with disabled toilets and access via a ramp in the main entrance. The clubhouse can also be accessed through the patio doors.
How do you get here?
Full directions from all angles can be found on our ‘where are we‘ page.
If you feel we haven’t answered your query with any of the above information then please don’t hesitate to give us a call on 015242 62455 or email firstname.lastname@example.org .
