The golf shop at Bentham Golf Course is your first port of call on arrival, stocked with general leisurewear and all your essentials for a better round of golf. Chris Gardner, our shop guru, is on hand to help with all the inside knowledge.
Located inside our main clubhouse, you can find the golf shop through the main ‘1922 Bar & Kitchen’ entrance.
Custom Fitting
A custom fit is a session supervised by a teaching professional where you can try out a different combination of clubs to find the best performing options for you. This features a wide range of brands and models, so you can compare several options. All the brands on offer within the pro shop can be tried in this way.
The sessions take place in our Swing Room or the driving range. After an initial discussion about your game and what you want from your equipment, we use a variety of tools, including launch monitors, to collect the most accurate data to get a baseline to determine what will improve your game the most. This feeds into deciding your correct shaft weight, flex and style as well as the lie angle, club length and grip size.
It generally takes an hour to complete a custom fit for a full set of irons,while for a single club it may take around 30 minutes.
Though it may not miraculously turn you into the tour player you always dreamed of being, a custom fit will improve the consistency of your good shots and minimise the effect of your bad shots.
The charge for a custom fitting session is refunded in the purchase of your clubs.
Clothing & Shoes
The shop showcases seasonal clothing from Ping Collection, Adidas, FootJoy, Island Green and many more reputable brands. We rotate stock regularly, so whether you’re looking for spring/summer clothing or autumn/winter we’ll certainly have something to suit.
Lady golfers are always impressed with our good range of latest seasonal ladieswear styles including polo shirts, skirts, shorts, sweaters and much more.
Ping offer free delivery and no minimum order on all their clothing range, so if you see something online that you like, we can order it in for you, subject to availability. Other firms such as FootJoy or Adidas do have minimum spends for free delivery so be sure to double check with Chris before leaving a clothes order with a member of staff.
We have a wide variety of shoes in stock from FootJoy and Adidas including a selection of casual/summer styles as well as traditional spiked shoes. We also offer a re-studding service in the shop if your current studs/cleats are looking a little tired and sell new studs with no fitting charge.
Electric Trolleys
If you’re considering purchasing a new electric trolley then look no further, we sell the UK’s leading brands including MotoCaddy.
We usually have a couple of different models in stock but can also can order in specially for you if you have a different model in mind. We have demo models of the trolleys we stock so that you can trial one on the course before you buy.
Trolleys are available to rent from £8.50 for 18 holes (Members receive a 10% discount on rental costs).
preloved Clubs
We keep a good sized selection of second hand clubs in the shop, including drivers, fairway woods, iron sets, wedges and putters.
If you are seeking something in particular that you don’t see in the showroom, simply ask Chris and he will endeavour to source what you are looking for.
All second hand clubs are available to trial on our 8 bay driving range or out on the course*.
We offer part exchange for any of our second hands clubs, so if you have something you’d like to sell on, we’ll make you a sensible offer. Alternatively, if you are just looking to sell, then we will be happy to consider purchasing your unwanted clubs, simply bring them in for Chris to look at.
*Clubs can only be trialled on site and a deposit item (e.g. car keys) is required before taking a club out of the shop.
Watches and Range Finders
Golf Buddy supply us with excellent GPS watches and range finders.
We usually have demos in the shop to trial out on the course and can offer these at very competitive prices in comparison to other big brands.
Accessories and Balls
We stock sleeves and dozen packs from Titleist and Srixon, usually offering the full range from these brands so that we can cater for all playing abilities. Simply ask what sort of balls are best for you.
Naturally we offer a wide range of other useful accessories to enhance your golfing experience, including umbrella holders, scorecard holders, practice garden balls, MotoCaddy trolley accessories and much more.
Our Surprize Shop range offers a wide variety of golfing goodies including cards, socks, visors and many more quirky golfing items which are perfect for birthday presents or general gifts.
